Where to start

If you searched for a download, the official button takes you to Team Monomyth’s patcher. A patch contains changes to Emerald; you supply the legally dumped base ROM. Our patch guide separates the 24,194,370-byte BPS download from the 33,554,432-byte output. That difference matters when a file-size check seems wrong. Keep an untouched copy of the source ROM, then choose an emulator supported by the developer for your device.

For a first team, open the starter comparison before picking a favorite sprite. It shows each line’s six base stats, level-20 and level-40 evolutions, abilities, and an editorial reading of the published opening boss team. The searchable Pokédex covers all 361 species without creating separate pages that lack enough evidence. Exact species values are labeled as one database source.

The walkthrough combines public opening videos with nine leader team references and preparation notes. Its boss ladder is sorted by published levels, so equal levels do not establish a travel route. For a file that already has progress, use the save guide before changing emulators or opening Celio Link. A battery save and a save state are different files.

What the evidence supports

Two sources are independent publishers, not two pages on the same website. The official homepage and launch trailer therefore count as one publisher for the soundtrack claim. DexDB supplies species, locations and teams; it is a community database. Our documentation directory distinguishes those resources from official instructions, and the editorial policy explains how corrections and disagreements are handled.

For named systems, use the wiki, coats guide and nature evidence page. Cosmetic coats, shiny encounters and custom nature labels answer different questions. A missing numeric probability stays blank rather than borrowing Emerald’s odds. Likewise, the cheats page identifies the effect claims in one third-party list and keeps its source count visible. It does not turn a single list into a verified code set.
